Well, it's final now. IBM will sell it's PC division to Lanovo of China.

Philly, Verizon strike agreement on city's wireless plans

Philadelphia, along with a few other major city had (or was having) a program to bring WiFi to the whole city. I guess that's not going to be happneing, at least in Philadelphia, any more.
